Delafaye returns with ‘Beechwood’. An EP that harks back to Delafaye’s Folk-Americana roots, that was recorded and self-produced at his newly established home studio, named ‘Beechwood’, in Jeffersonville, IN, US. The same studio that inspired the name of the EP.

Over its 4 tracks, of which by the time of its release will include the previously unreleased new song ‘Falling’, and the single which marked his re-emergence, ‘City Lights’, this set of often heart wrenching and intimate songs contain a lot of themes that will hit home with many, but still leave room for interpretation, as is a hallmark in many of Delafaye’s most poignant songs.

Of the other two songs included on the EP, are ‘She Don’t Love Me’ which is laced with the same melancholy and longing as on Delafaye’s previous single ‘Maria’, and in fact continues right where that song left off, with its gentle acoustic guitar picked outro being pickup up again, providing the introduction to another song that is as much of a raw, heart on your sleeve reflection as its predecessor. Still centered on a mysterious ongoing relationship, they also form the center of the EP, as the middle two tracks that form its foundation. Both were recently released together and lauded in the process, landing radio plays across various college radio stations in the US and playlist inclusions such as the A-List on Amazing Radio USA.

The moniker of Andrew Shockley, born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, Delafaye is named after a Louisville Street that formed part of his childhood memories. Delafaye, now based just across the Ohio River in Indiana, is an indie folk singer-songwriter, whose deeply relatable songs often come laced in melancholy and are authentic expressions of his decorated past, whilst providing honest, raw, modern day reflections straight from the heart, as he continues on a musical journey that started with his 2017 debut EP ‘The Hilltop’ which has since garnered over 6 million streams and resulted in support slots for San Fermin at his then local Headliners Music Hall and high profile supports for Cory Brannan, Blank Range, Arlie and many others whilst also gaining him a nomination for Singer-Songwriter of the Year at the Louisville Music Awards, eventually coming in runner up to Joan Shelley.

Second EP ‘Highlands’ bought with it his US morning TV debut on WHAS-11 as well as more extensive touring playing shows both solo and full band around Kentucky and his first out of state shows. His debut album in mid-2019. ‘DELAFAYE’ collected 13 tracks including many previously released singles and yielded new singles ‘Godspeed’, ‘Go Away Just to Stay’, which went on to garner great acclaim as did a host of recent singles including ‘Dog Day’ (With premieres on Folk Radio UK and Americana UK) and lead single from his last full-length EP ‘Heartbreaker’ bringing him up until 2022, when he released his last EP ‘Rose’.

The ‘Beechwood’ EP is out now.
