Stream & buy Hesanobody – ‘The Necessary Beauty’
‘The Necessary Beauty’ is the first single taken from this new and final chapter of an EP trilogy that began with 2017’s ‘The Need to Belong’ and followed with ‘The Night We Stole the Moonshine’ in 2018. In the intervening time, Hesanobody (moniker of Gaetano Chirico) also released the accompanying ‘The Night We Played the Moonshine’, which saw him exploring more acoustic arrangements, re-imagining a batch of songs, and taking them out of the realm of his habitual ethereal synth-pop sound. Since last year he has been hunkered down in the studio where he set about creating a worthy successor and closing chapter to a series of releases which have seen him establish himself as an artist to be cherished.
Having set out by himself after having previously played in local bands in the ever-growing Calabrian music scene, he honed his skills and self-produced and self-recorded many of his early recordings between his home studio in Milan and the LM Recording Studio in Reggio Calabria, the same two studios he currently records in, and that helped give birth to ‘The Necessary Beauty’.
Hesanobody: “I wrote it almost two years ago and it ended in full second lockdown thanks to Sean Cronin (co-author and spiritual guide of the whole upcoming EP, author for AINÉ, Karhys) and Federico Ferrandina (composer of the original soundtrack for the Netflix film ‘L’Ultimo Paradiso’, but with credits also on ‘Dallas Buyers Club’, ‘The Big Bang Theory’, ‘The Night Of’) in a trip to Sync Music Studio in Matera where the recordings were held, involving the collective MATÈ e Lucan soloists”.
