‘Time and Money’, the much loved and lauded Delafaye song is re-released with a cover from his one-time bandmate and now label mate Elephant Path.
Having found a home and outlet on our label for his constant stream of new music, Elephant Path stays true to the original ‘Time and Money’ whilst putting his unmistakable stamp on it, creating a beautiful accompaniment to the original, re-introducing it and no doubt capturing new fans of it in the process.
For Delafaye this comes fresh from the release of his new EP ‘Beechwood’. He recorded and produced the original ‘Time and Money’ by himself on a 8-track recorder and computer in a small apartment above an art studio next to a bar called the Hilltop Tavern in Louisville, Kentucky. Delafaye and Elephant Path’s collaboration was born in Louisville, and it remains a strong tie for both of them.
We are so incredibly fond of this song, and are over the moon that there are now two versions of it.
